Benja Legal was founded in Bangkok by a small team of legal practitioners who had each spent years working within the broader landscape of Thai financial and employment law. Over time, a pattern became clear: individuals approaching retirement — or already in receipt of a pension — frequently found themselves poorly equipped to navigate the administrative and legal complexity that pension matters in Thailand involve. Many had legitimate concerns but did not know where to bring them or how to frame them.

The firm's name draws from the Thai word for "five," a number with long associations in Thai culture with balance and completeness. It reflects the founding team's intention to provide legal support that is whole — not merely reactive, but considered and thorough at every point of contact.

Operating from Sathorn in Bangkok, Benja Legal has focused exclusively on pension-related legal matters since the firm's founding. This focus is deliberate.
